Recruiting for the Derp Side [DRPSD]
Wargaming has rules rules about how a clan can recruit with in game. In addition, the clan has rules about how it wants its Recruitment Officers to find players and turn them into Recruits. To ensure all of the rules are followed Recruitment Officers are asked to use the guidance provided here.
Public Game Recruitment
The Derp Side [DRPSD] does not support in game spanning as it is forbidden by the rules. Any individual accounts do so at the behoove of their own accord and is not a request from the clan DRPSD in any form.
Public recruitment is expected to follow individual contact. This ensures the user is willing to communicate, as a player that uses none of the communication tools provider is not likely provide as useful assistance in skirmishes or clan wars. In order for the clan to provider the best resource income to its members it must ensure that its members are able to communicate the way the field commander requires.
Dynamic Platoon
For this reason it is encouraged to join Dynamic Platoons, and interact with the potential recruit. Request players of the same tier for optimal XP gain and target players that have no clan affiliation (their name has no '[' and ']'). In addition, if you are running an XVM mod you can be selective about stats. Ideally you target players with a good XVM score. A player with very low game count has a higher likely-hood of joining the clan than someone with tens of thousands of games, however the one with many games (even if a not so good XVM) is also a useful clan resource.
Communication Ability
Ideally the potential recruit is using a headset but having someone that at a minimum uses the text terminal quick commands. Use a simple line you can remember during the platoon sometime. You should attempt the recruitment prior to the end of the battle as the potential Recruit may die before you and leave the platoon. The DRPSD is intended to make recruitment easy targeting any type of player. Use our marketing to your advantage. Keep the line in the buffer. Something like,

Since you are now in the platoon communication it is not a public channel. This allows you to broadcast websites and even offer gold. The DRPSD recruitment payouts may very, so it is easiest to direct them to either the in game clan site or to the managed site www.derpside.com
Gold allows more interesting talking bits like,
Need gold? Join the DRPSD and learn how to make it @ www.derpside.com
Both of these messages quickly become impersonal even if the platoon was bonding on a personal level. For this reason it is recommended to add something more of a personal touch. ASCII art or emocons can helps with this. For example the last statement we can try and get the message to space properly and add some ASCII art. We are want it to display as the following.
Need gold? Join the DRPSD and learn how to make it
We could use a recruit like you (~,~)7

Now the same message has a personal touch and it is generic to still be able to keep in the buffer and send to anyone that is being communicated with. In addition, if the first line is dropped all gold messaging is removed so it is a solid recruitment message.
We could use a recruit like you (~,~)7

This message however now is missing a large part of the DRPSD marketing. For this reason there are two recomended recruitment lines. One that does advertise gold and one that is pure recruitment.
